How to Join: No pre-bookings online! For all Make & Mend Hub workshops, please register at their retail stall on the day of the festival. First in, best dressed! All other activities are walk-in friendly.

Lantern Making
Get ready for the parade! Come and make your very own lantern exactly how you like it. Use your favourite colours and shapes to make it shine bright. Then, bring your lantern back at 6:30pm to walk in the magical Lantern Parade. It will be so much fun to see everyone’s lights glowing together!
Teddy Bear Hunt
Can you find all the hidden teddy bears? Come to the Agnes Water Doctors tent to get your special treasure map! Look high in the trees and around the festival stalls to spot our furry friends. Once you find them all, bring your map back to win a small prize and a chance to win a big surprise!
Story Time
Come and explore with the library! Discover amazing mini beasts and check out our cool science kits you can borrow. You can also relax in our cosy reading corner and see all the fun things the library has to offer. It is a great place to sit back, learn something new, and enjoy a story!
Community Art Project
Come and leave your mark! Join the Bush Kids for a giant community art project. Use bright paints and real sand to help create a massive masterpiece with your friends. It’s a fun, messy way to show your creative spirit and be part of a big festival artwork!
Under Water Craft
Dive into creativity with 1770 Reef! Come and explore our underwater sensory station and make your very own ocean-themed crafts. It is a fun way to feel, play, and learn about the amazing creatures that live under the sea. Perfect for little explorers who love the reef!
Play with Clay
Get your hands dirty and have some fun with Wolf & Clay! In this workshop, you will learn how to mould and shape clay with your fingers. Make your very own pretty earrings or a small trinket dish to keep your treasures safe. It is a great way to be creative and take home something special!
WILDART – From Sticks To Brush
Come and make art from nature! You will learn how to build your own paintbrushes using sticks and leaves. We will grind colourful rocks into real earth paint, just like magic! It is so much fun to create your own tools and paint. You even get to take your special artworks and brushes home with you!
ALCHEMY OF AROMA – The Art of Scent Blending
Learn the secrets of making amazing smells with scent artist Randall Browne! Discover how different aromas can change your mood and tell a story. You will learn to blend special oils to create your very own signature scent. The best part? You get to make a custom reed diffuser to take home and make your room smell wonderful!
INFINITY CARD CRAFT CARD WORKSHOP
Make a magic card that never ends! In this fun workshop, you will build a special “Infinity Card” that flips and rotates in a loop forever. Decorate your card with stickers, stamps and cool art to surprise your friends. It is the ultimate fidget toy! Take your creation home and show everyone your mind-bending masterpiece.

TEXTURED FISH
Make a splash with local artist Wendy Hanna! Use thick paint and special tools to create a 3D fish masterpiece that pops off the canvas. Inspired by the beautiful ocean at Lady Musgrave Island, you will learn how to add cool bumps and patterns to your art. It is fun, messy, and very creative!
SCENT & SMOKE – Blend Your Own Sandalwood Incense Cone Workshop
Discover the ancient art of making incense with Randall Browne! Learn how to mix natural powders and sweet-smelling sandalwood to create your own incense cones. It is a peaceful way to relax and be creative. You will learn how to shape them by hand and take your handmade cones home to make your house smell amazing!
TEXTURED SEASHELL
Join Wendy to turn beach treasures into art! In this workshop, you will learn how to use thick, sculptural paint to make a beautiful seashell. Just like the shells you find on your morning beach walks, your artwork will have a real raised texture that you can actually feel. Perfect for little ocean lovers!
WAVES IN MOTION – A Joyful Dance Workshop
Come and move your body in this fun dance class! You will work with friends to tell stories through movement and cool shapes. Learn a fast and exciting dance to a real sea shanty song! It is a great way to feel happy and full of energy. No experience is needed—just bring your smile and get ready to dance!
BRAID & ADORN WORKSHOP To Brush
Become an eco-mermaid in this fun class! You will learn how to make cool hair decorations using treasures found on the beach. Turn sea-drift and beach plastic into beautiful art for your hair. Then, learn how to do a pretty “mermaid braid” to show off your work. It is a great way to help our oceans and look amazing!
CULINARY COLOUR LAB
Come and taste the flavours of Agnes Water! Meet Jenni and try her yummy “Tucker Dust.” It is made with macadamia nuts, seeds, and special Aussie spices that are good for your tummy. It’s a healthy way to make any meal taste amazing. Come and grab a true taste of 1770 to take home!
SEW SEASHELLS BY THE SEA SHORE
Join Carol for a relaxing sewing class by the sea! Learn how to make beautiful underwater patterns using colorful thread and simple stitches. You will learn special tricks like the “spiderweb stitch” to create your own ocean masterpiece. It is a lovely way to slow down, have a chat, and make something pretty with your hands!
Meraki Circus Play Space
Step right up and join the circus! Rachel invites you to a fun play space where you can try hula hooping and other cool circus tricks. It is a relaxed, drop-in session where you can learn at your own pace. Whether you are young or old, come and play, explore, and run away with the circus for a while!
WILDFLOWER WRITING SPACE
Visit local author Claire Roe for a world of words! Wander into this quiet space to play with fun writing games and journaling. You can write a poem, draw a picture, or add a secret line to our Giant Community Story. No experience is needed—just stay as long as you like and let your creativity bloom!
