Step into history and celebrate culture at the 1770 Festival – back in May 2026! Join us in the coastal town of 1770, where 255+ years ago, the HMB Endeavour made landfall. This unique festival brings together the ancient, and living culture of the Gooreng Gooreng people and the legacy of Captain Cook’s historic landing – with music, markets, re-enactments, and cultural experiences that honour and commemorate the past while looking to the future. It’s a long weekend full of colour, connection and coastal charm – where stories are shared, cultures celebrated, and community spirit shines.
