LET’S CAMP!

Agnes Water and 1770 is surrounded on all sides by magnificent National Parks. To the North we have Eurimbula National Park and to the south you will find Deepwater National Park. Here’s what you need to know about camping in these beautiful locations.

GET A PERMIT

Before camping in a park, forest or reserve, you must obtain a camping permit and pay your camping fees. These fees go towards the upkeep of facilities and maintenance of the roads and tracks that give access to these grounds. Camping without a permit is a finable offence.

FOLLOW GUIDELINES

Although we are now free to move around the Queensland state, for the health and safety of visitors the National Parks have introduced a set of guidelines to be followed by all.  You can read them  here  https://parks.des.qld.gov.au/covid-19/

CHECK THE CONDITIONS

Not only will you have to be thinking about if it’s going to rain or not, when visiting our local national parks you may also need to check the tides. Some of our parks tracks include tidal water crossings. You may also come across a mixture of terrain from rocky, to mud, to sand. Get up to date information here at Park Alerts.

BE PREPARED

If you are not a seasoned camper you might be surprised at what you could encounter on a National Park adventure. From wild and venomous animals, to extreme weather conditions and tricky vehicle obstacles. Make sure you are prepared for anything, as help could be a long way away. You can find a list of recommendations here.

MINIMAL IMPACT

Help us preserve these special places. Aim to leave the grounds better condition than when you found them. Stick to the allocated camping areas. Remove all rubbish and follow fire restrictions.

  1. Hi , can I get in for 5 days here with my caravan at the end of June 2021. What would it cost? How do I get a permit? I am a senior.
