1770 Festival Helicopter Flight Competition – Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

This competition is conducted by Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc. (DCTC), organisers of the 1770 Festival, in partnership with Beach Shack Productions.

2. Eligibility

Entry is open to Queensland residents aged 18 years and over.
To be eligible to win, entrants must be physically present at the 1770 Festival on either Saturday 24 May or Sunday 25 May 2025 when the prize is drawn.

3. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete the official entry form via the 1770 Festival website or promotional link shared on official Festival social media. Only one entry per person is permitted.

4. Entry Period

Entries open on 07 May 2025 and close at 12:00 PM AEST on Sunday 25 May 2025.

5. Prize

  • Two (2) x 10-minute Scenic Helicopter Flights over the 1770 coastline
  • Each flight accommodates 2 adults
  • Flights will be scheduled during the 1770 Festival weekend and are subject to weather and availability
  • The prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash

6. Prize Draw

  • The prize draw will take place between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM AEST on both Saturday 24 May and Sunday 25 May 2025, live at the 1770 Festival
  • Entrants must be present in person at the time of the draw to claim the prize
  • If the winner is not present when their name is announced, a redraw will occur immediately

7. Notification

The winner will be announced live at the festival and may also be contacted via the email address provided in their entry.

8. Privacy

All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with DCTC’s Privacy Policy. Details will be used solely for the administration of this competition and will not be shared or sold to third parties.

9. Changes & Cancellation

DCTC reserves the right to modify, substitute, or cancel the competition or prize in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including weather, operational, or safety issues.

10. Acceptance

Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

11. Third-Party Prize Provider Disclaimer

The helicopter flight prize has been generously donated by

RaptAir Scenic Flights, a third-party service provider.

Discovery Coast Tourism & Commerce Inc. (DCTC) and Beach Shack Productions are not responsible for the operation, safety, scheduling, or delivery of the helicopter flight.
The prize is subject to RaptAir’s own terms of service, availability, and weather-related safety protocols.

Any issues relating to the flight experience must be addressed directly with RaptAir.
